Our company 

Believing in the adage ‘In the beginning was the soil’ and wishing to contribute to sustainable growth, MPN P.C. in 2019 established a “model unit of open-system production of compost”.   The production process is performed in the company's large (6,200m2) privately owned facilities made to the highest standards at Oraiokastro Thessaloniki - Greece. 

The company is active in the composting sector, engaged in the treatment of non-hazardous waste, deriving either from the public or private sector. The company’s objective is to produce a technically and qualitatively excellent final compost-like product for multiple applications. 


 

Our vision 

MPN P.C. envisioning a new era where the environment will represent the pillar of modern life, is investing in this future by playing its part in protecting our environment through the treatment and use of bio-waste within the framework of the circular economy. 

Organic waste which would otherwise be destined for landfill becomes raw material for products which help the environment and improve our quality of life. 

 

Incoming material 

Incoming material for making compost includes:

  • Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) 
  • Waste from organic treatment plants 
  • Waste from timber (sawdust, branches, etc.) 
  • Plant waste products (hay, grass) 
  • Animal waste products (faeces, etc.) 
  • Hotel waste 
  • Biodegradable waste from kitchens, catering facilities and habitation 
  • Mud residues from washing and cleaning. 
  • And many other categories of non-hazardous waste. 

 

Final Product 

The final compost product, having followed all production stages under the supervision of experienced and qualified company technicians and scientific partners, as well as certified quality control labs is ready for placement on the market.  

Common uses of compost: 

  • In farming as soil-improving fertilizer or cultivation substratum (humus)
  • as mulch 
  • in architecture and the preservation of landscape (restoration of areas such as quarry zones) 
  • as a lining coat for solid waste cells at landfill sites 
  • as a biofilter in waste treatment plants for domestic use in simple vegetable gardens.
